WOW! What a weekend to be a USMNT fan. Our boys kicked some serious ass, just look how much space on our page this week is dedicated to the good stuff.

We’re not tired of saying it and you’re not tired of reading of it…but Pulisic lead the way AGAIN. He was excellent in the most important league match Milan will play this year. He picked Mkhitaryan’s pocket, then split the entire Inter defense and tucked his shot away near post. Effing awesome. After that, he did well in possession, created more chances for his teammates, and worked his ass off for the team tracking back. He was instrumental to Milan’s 2-1 triumph in the derby.

The good news keeps coming, with Balogun finally getting off the mark in Ligue 1. He got the start, went the full 90, looked dangerous, and scored a clinching goal that takes Monaco joint top of the table.

Tillman just continues to tear it up in Eredivise. He scored 2 and played strong defense to boot. He had a near-perfect 9.6 rating for the match, and his average rating this season is an eye-popping 8.1. He has 4 goals and 2.5 xA. He should be getting a very serious look for the starting XI on USMNT right now.

Morris was strong in midfield – and went toe to toe with Jude Bellingham’s younger brother Jobe. Busio continues to drive Venezia forward in Serie A. They might get relegated but we suspect that Busio will stick around in Serie A even if they do. Rounding out a strong weekend for our midfield was McKennie getting a start for Juve in Serie A, a just reward for his strong performance in Champions League last week. It’s gone from looking a bit bleak for him on PT to being much more positive.

And last but not least Alex Zendejas returned from a several month injury absence to start for Club America. He’s been one of their best players in Liga MX when healthy and while he may not crack the starting XI any time soon, he could offer depth.

The loan blemish on our USMNT scorecard this weekend was Schulte, who didn’t have his best night in goal. We’ll forgive it for now because he’s young, and young stars are consistently inconsistent.

Good vibes around the team with Poch being announced and some great performances since!

The last match window before the USMNT all gather in Austin for Pochettino’s first camp was action packed.

Pulisic scored, and was Milan’s best player, again! It’s almost every game this year he’s been either the best player by the data or as voted by fans. …But we get some bad vibes from his teammates twice stripping him of the PK responsibility against the coach’s orders. Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham both had their PKs saved by David de Gea – so they probably should have let Pulisic, who is 10/10 in his career, take them.
