Another big weekend for the USMNT with the Italian contingent leading the way. The headliner for this weekend is clearly Pulisic, Musah, and Milan taking on Inter in the Milan Derby. Get ready for smoke, flares, and passion to fill the San Siro in one of Italy’s best matches. Some in the press believe that Milan need a result in order to save their manager’s job. Pulisic has been on fire for Milan lately and should play a major role yet again.
Staying in Italy, Weston McKennie and Tim Weah are taking on a revamped Napoli side that has been hot since bringing on Romelu Lukaku in the summer window. McKennie is fresh off a strong Champions League performance in his first start for new manager Thiago Motta, so we’re hoping to see him in the starting XI again. Weah has been getting consistent minutes, but usually off the bench.
Jedi could be the first name on the team sheet at Fulham, he’s been their best player in virtually every match this season. Newcastle are in good form and we obviously want to see Robinson continue his great form. If he keeps this up all year it’s hard to believe he won’t get a move to a bigger club – possibly a Champions League club.
Up next in our top fixtures for this weekend we have Crystal Palace vs. Man United. Turner is still looking for his first minutes of the season at Palace so don’t expect him to be between the sticks in this one. Richards though has started most Palace matches and it’s a rare chance to see our boys on broadcast TV so we should tune in.
Last but not least, our Saturday breakfast match features Aidan Morris and Middlesbrough. He has been on fire this year, and was one of the few bright spots for the USMNT in our last window. He should be rested up from the international exertions so we’ll look to see if he can continue to develop in England – hopefully growing into another true option for us in midfield

10.4 – Weekend Recap
The last match window before the USMNT all gather in Austin for Pochettino’s first camp was action packed.
Pulisic scored, and was Milan’s best player, again! It’s almost every game this year he’s been either the best player by the data or as voted by fans. …But we get some bad vibes from his teammates twice stripping him of the PK responsibility against the coach’s orders. Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham both had their PKs saved by David de Gea – so they probably should have let Pulisic, who is 10/10 in his career, take them.
September 2024 “team of the month”
This is basically how the USMNT would line up in our first matches under Pochettino – if he made his decisions based ONLY on current club form. He obviously won’t do that – but it’s a cool way to look at who is playing well, and who isn’t, for the USMNT.
